Original Artwork

The Lay of the Land I brings together warm earthy tones, soft pinks and touches of plum in a loose, layered composition inspired by the colours and changing character of the Australian landscape.

Transparent washes overlap and blend, allowing colours to settle into unexpected shapes and textures. There’s a sense of movement throughout, with areas of deeper colour balanced by soft, open space.

This artwork can be displayed in either portrait or landscape orientation and will be signed on the front after purchase in the buyer’s preferred orientation.

Companion work to The Lay of the Land II. Each artwork is available individual
