Almost Monochrome is a commissioned original artwork by Inga Barbuto, created as an exploration of movement, atmosphere and tonal contrast through layered monochromatic washes. Soft veils of white, ash and warm grey move across the canvas, interrupted by expressive forms of deep charcoal and black ink-like pigment. Fluid and atmospheric, the composition balances softness with intensity, capturing the tension between stillness and movement, light and shadow.

Created as a bespoke commissioned piece, Almost Monochrome reflects an intuitive and expressive approach to abstract painting, developed in response to space, mood and palette. This artwork has been created for a private collector and is presented here as part of the Commissions Collection portfolio.
